Fly-by Pelican
This pelican flew right over our heads and scared the crap outta me because he was really low AND I thought he was going to poop on me. I have this horrible fear of being pooped on by a bird. Ask me what happened to Brooke one time and then you'll know why I fear bird poo. :)
I was so excited to get home from work today because I wanted to get my Tybee Island & Savannah photos loaded to my Flickr account. Instead, Cain had a baseball game and we didn't get home until 9 p.m.
We drove straight in from Macon this morning and I had hubby drop me off at work so I could get my deadline finished. I overslept so I didn't get to take a shower before I went and I'm pretty sure my co-workers thought I looked like Phyllis Diller, hair and all. I came home at lunch and took a shower, then back to work, then the almost-an-hour drive to Chatsworth to watch Cain play ball (Cain got to play on the varsity team tonight instead of JV because he pitched an awesome game last Friday-*high fives to Cain*) and whew, anyway...I'm so sleepy that I just can't hardly keep my eyes open. I'll try to get my photos loaded tomorrow. I'm pretty happy with a few of them.
Just a sidenote: when I came home from work to take my shower, Brooke had made me a beautiful photo frame for my birthday with seashells she collected from the beach. Cain made me a card and drew a photo of Dumbo on there for me (I love Dumbo) and wrote "Happy Birthday Mom! I love you with all my heart. You are the greatest mom ever. Sorry this is nothing big."
Nothing big? Little does he know. I'm certain that no-one has ever received as good a gift as that. ;) I have great kids. :)
