Beautiful Morning

This was an absolutely beautiful day. I spent most of the morning outside, freezing to death, taking photos of the various birds that come to my yard. This morning I had Carolina Wrens, as seen above, a Red-headed Woodpecker, Chickadees, a tufted titmouse, cardinals, jays, two red-shouldered hawks, and then your basic crows, grackles, etc.

I really enjoyed the morning light. The weather was JUST perfectly crisp. I couldn't feel my face or fingers after a while, but the shots I got made it all worth it. :)

And, the world never ceases to amaze me. Check this out (click the link for more information):
Scientists said on Tuesday they had found a "Lost World" in an Indonesian mountain jungle, home to dozens of exotic new species of birds, butterflies, frogs and plants.

I wish I could go there and photograph everything. How awesome would that be!

That would be a photographer's dream. I would love to be able to shoot something like that.

I noticed you are interested in a Canon Rebel XT. I have been reading about it ...do you think it would do a good job at action/sports photography. That has been my one gripe about digital cameras,

Commish~Oh absolutely. I use a Canon Digital Rebel (300) now and it works great with sports/action shots. My son wrestled, and plays football and baseball and I have been able to get some good shots w/my Rebel. I'm just ready to move up. Of course, if I were to get the Rebel XT Canon will come out with something else. ;) You can look here and some of these action shots were taken with my digital Rebel: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rachelpennington/sets/115537/

Liz~Wouldn't that be wonderful?!

Thanks very much. :) If you decide to get the XT let me know what you think of it, ok? And if you're a photographer anyway you should join flickr and share your pictures. :)
