This is a view from one of the boardwalks going down to the beach. That's the railing you see near the bottom center of this photo.Did all my usual chores this morning (after getting all of FOUR hours of sleep-woo hoo) and then took my shower and headed to the store for groceries. I haven't bought groceries since I got home from visiting with Brooke and we were running SO low. We have tons of canned food but no staples and such. I swear, we go through so much milk! I usually have cereal every morning--Cheerios or Apple Jacks in case you want to know--so the milk goes pretty fast.
Hmmm...my blog is amazingly boring, isn't it? Sorry about that.
I wonder if other families are like mine in that we have quite a lot of movies on video or DVD and hardly ever watch them, but if one of those movies comes on television, we sit and watch it, even waiting through commercials. Isn't that stupid? So far today we've watched Forrest Gump and Armageddon. Actually we watched them both at the same time because Marshall has a happy trigger finger on the remote. He has to have the shortest attention span of anyone I know. He never, ever, ever finishes a single show, sans "Survivor" which he loves. It drives Cain and I absolutely nuts. Usually our nights consist of me sitting on the couch editing photos, and Marshall flipping through the channels every five minutes. :D I'll be listening to a show and get interested and he'll turn it. Cain usually gets up and walks out.
I sure hated to hear that Don Knotts passed away last night. :( May he rest in peace.

Hey Rachel--
I still follow your blog, tho haven't commented in a while. I was interested in your editing photos on the couch...does that mean you use a laptop? I'm in almost immediate need of a new computer and I can't decide if I need a laptop or desktop...I keep thinking of storing and editing photos and I wasn't sure if a laptop is up to the task. Any opinion? Where do you store your photos.
Ellen
PS My poor blog has been dormant since before Christmas. I love how faithful you are to yours.
Hi Ellen! It's good to hear from you. :)
I do use a laptop. I have a Dell Inspiron that I just love. It was supposed to go with my daughter Brooke when she left for college, but she decided she wanted to take the desktop instead, and I was fine with that. :D
I love the laptop. It works out great for me. I do store my photos on it, and of course back them up on CDR's too.
You can get a laptop for pretty cheap these days, and I highly recommend my Dell. :)
Thanks for the info. I am leaning toward a laptop (at the moment!)and Dell is the brand I'm considering. Glad to know that a laptop is enough to edit your beautiful photos on.
