New Day, New Outlook

It sure is a beautiful day out there, but man is it ever cold!

I'm trying to get ALL aspects of my life in gear. Everything. My marriage will be better, I will be a better parent (although, I think I'm a pretty darn good parent). I'll be forty in three years (ok, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit) and I'm getting too old for things to be going like their going. What I *really* want to focus on is getting my photographs out in the world OR go about making money another way, or both.

I came across the Optimist Creed when I was looking at a little dictionary that Brooke got for graduation. I'd never seen it before, but it is really awesome. I'll share it with you in case you've never seen it either. :)

Happy Birthday, Donna Sue! I love you!

Promise Yourself -

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

I have one more quote for you...it comes from my father:

'Never grow up, it inhibits creativity and pisses off old people.'

We are always trying to 'get' our lives together...LOL it is a constant, my dear.
Ask me, I'm going to be 50!
