Happy 4th of July!

The country shall be independent, and we will be satisfied with nothing short of it. - Samuel Adams, 1722 - 1803

It is my living sentiment, and by the blessing of God it shall be my dying sentiment, independence now and independence forever.- Daniel Webster, eulogy for John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, 2 August 1826

We have had a very pleasant July 4th. Marshall got home early from work and I fixed BBQ ribs, potato salad, baked beans, rolls, and then I made myself a burger. :) I don't like BBQ. I wish I did because boy, it sure smells good. :)

We had a nice thunderstorm this afternoon but it certainly didn't last long enough. Lately we're just getting heat of the day storms and nothing in between. :(

Marshall and I are watching Flight 93 and I have tears in my eyes and I can barely see. I can't imagine being a loved one, talking to my family member on the phone, probably knowing that I would never see them or talk to them again. :(

We're also watching Junkin' during commercials. I love this show. The guy, Dave, reminds me of two people: my late uncle, and my buddy Eric. Funny, funny guy! And I love Val, too. She's great. :)

Happy 4th, everyone!

Happy 4th to you, too, and boy your meal really sounds good. I LOVE BarBQ. We had hamburgers and hotdogs, grilled. I enjoyed it though.

Man....that sounds much better than leftover pizza (which is what we had).
