Busy Day

I got up early this morning, got my shower and headed to Wal-Mart to get my Thanksgiving groceries. I wanted to get there before everybody and his brother showed up. Lately it has gotten so crowded there that you can barley get down the aisles.

After I grabbed my buggy and went through the doors, the little greeter lady was there to tell me good morning. I asked how she was doing and she just stared at me for a second and told me that she didn't think she was doing so well. I had noticed when I walked in that her head was shaking pretty bad, but I thought that might be the norm for her (although I didn't recall seeing her doing that in the past).

I watched her very carefully because I thought she might be having a stroke or a heart attack. I noticed that she was sweating really bad (she's probably in her late 60's) and then her hands started trembling. I ran to get help and I stayed with her until the ambulance came and whisked her away. I'm calling today to see if she's doing any better. I put on a brave face and then continued on to my shopping, but it shook me up pretty bad. It just made me really miss my grandmother. Anyway, one of her co-workers, Mary, (which is what I was going to tell you, Chrisi) told me that she probably just had a bad reaction to some medication that her dr. had put her on. Apparently she had not been back at work for very long due to some illnesses. I really hope she's ok.

When I got home I worked on the house for a while, worked in the yard, and got my clothes washed. My FIL & MIL came down for a visit and it was really good to see them. We haven't seen them in forever. They stayed for a little while (but not long enough) and then I continued on with my cleaning after they left.

It sure turned cold out there today, which was A-Ok with me. :) Bring on the snow! (c= Wouldn't it be so wonderful if this year we had a white Christmas? It ain't gonna happen, but wouldn't that be great? *sigh*

We got our Thanksgiving groceries at Walmart yesterday afternoon. If I had been a smarter shopper, I would have gone that morning while everyone was at church lol!

That's a good thing you did helping that lady out, Rachel. I hope she's okay, too!

Yep, I'd love to see a white Christmas. I can't remember the last one it's been so long ago :(
