I rushed to the house, changed clothes, and left, headed to Eric & Dawnia's to drop Marshall off while I went to the movies with my Dad. The movie started at 7 and I got to the theater about 10 after 6. Around 6:30 my Dad called and told me he was there, in the parking lot and I let him know I was waiting inside. I sat there for about 3 minutes, waiting, got up and walked outside to see if I could find him. Turns out, he was at another theater so I rushed to meet him there. Next time we'll have to make sure we get our facts straight. :D
We watched Apocalypto and I really enjoyed it. My Dad did, too. It was NOT more gory than Braveheard, as reports I had heard from a co-worker. There were some yucky things happening, but I was able to stomach it all. It was great going to a movie with my Dad. I hope we get to do it more often.
I got home tonight to a sick child. Cain is running a fever and has an earache in both ears. I hope that it's a quick-passing illness and not whatever is going around that is closing all of the schools around here.
~~Friday Feast~~
Appetizer
What was your very first job with a paycheck? I was a tour guide at Sequoyah Caverns, where my dad was the manager. I loved that job.
Soup
Did you ever lose something really important to you? Yep, Cain's baby book. I've tore my house up trying to find it and it absolutely breaks my heart that it's nowhere to be found. I do NOT lose things like that so I'm not sure how this got away from me. :(
Salad
What is the best Christmas present you ever received? When I was a child it was a Kodak 110 that I got when I was 8. I felt like a "big girl" because I had such an important gift. :)
Main Course
Tell about a favorite "hang out" place for you and your friends when you were in high school. Well, since the town I grew up in is as about as big as a minute, we mostly just spend the night with one another all the time. We also cruised Brainerd Road in Chattanooga. It was the place to be when I was a teen in the 80's.
Dessert
Name something that always brings a smile to your face. Hearing either of my children tell me that they love me. :) Well that, and when I hear someone say, "Hey buddy, say it, don't spray it." Either way, I'm smiling...
