Let's Get This Party Started!

I didn't think the work day was EVER going to end but finally, five o'clock finally came around and I made a mad dash to the front door. I went home and picked Marshall up and we left LaFayette on two wheels, in a hurry to join our buddies, Eric & Dawnia, at the cabin in Hiawassee, Georgia. (There's no internet service so I'm just typing my blog each night before I go to bed).

The cabin is absolutely glorious. I can't get over how beautiful it is. I'm always dumbfounded by how people can afford to build these cabins (and beach houses, too) and then not live in them. I imagine the houses they do live in year-round must be stunning. Anyway, it's gorgeous and there are no words to tell you how happy we all were to be here. We're all headed out to the hot tub in just a few minutes. :) Too bad none of our other buddies could/would come with us. This is going to be a blast!

Appetizer
How do you usually celebrate on New Year's Eve? By staying home with the kids but now that they are almost grown we're usually just home by ourselves (not this year though!)

Soup
Name one thing unexpected that happened to you in 2006. I went back to work at the newspaper that I quit at a year ago.

Salad
Where was your favorite place that you visited in 2006? Natural Bridge, Virginia, and ED's pool. What a great summer.

Main Course
What resolution is your top priority for 2007? Losing more weight. Gosh, I hope this is MY year. I'll be 40 in a little over two years. Ugh. Fat and Forty? Not something I want to be.

Dessert
Using just three words, describe 2006.
Full of Friendship.
