I know you're probably all as excited as I am about that. :)
Cain's baseball team had a scrimmage game against one another this afternoon and we all liked to have froze to death. The wind was brutal. The boys look pretty good so I hope they have a good season. I took the above picture at the scrimmage. That's Cain pitching. See the ball? I was pleased as punch w/this picture. :) Well, except for that he's wearing his Homer Simpson pajamas!
I am reading "Into the Wild" (by Jon Krakauer) per Deb's good review and a brief portion of Oprah that I saw about the book and the film. It came in the mail today and I started reading it before Cain's game. I can't wait to crawl underneath the covers tonight and dive into it. I've been wanting to read it for months and finally ordered it from Amazon, and I can't wait to see the movie. Such a sad story though...Click on the title above to get an idea about the story.
Guess what I'm doing this Sunday? If you guessed that I'm going to see Michael Buble (again) then you'd be right. :) I loves me some Michael Buble. AND we (Kandi and myself) have great seats (again). Guess where I'm going on March 12? If you guessed to see Michael Buble (again!) then you'd be right! I can't wait! It's an early birthday present from my hubby. Ain't he the sweetest? I know!
Know what this song is? Cain and I love it. :) Can you guess? And don't Google it, that's not fair! And no, it's not Buble. :)
Night. :)
There is a time for love and laughter
The days will pass like summer storms
The winter wind will follow after
But there is love and love is warm
There is a time for us to wander
When time is young and so are we
The woods are greener over yonder
The path is new the world is free
There is a time when leaves are fallin'
The woods are gray the paths are old
The snow will come when geese are callin'
You need a fire against the cold
So do your roaming in the springtime
And find your love in the summer sun
The frost will come and bring the harvest
And you can sleep when day is done

Don't recognize the song, but I am guessing that it is Michael Buble. I read "Into the Wild" shortly after it came out. It is really good. I think the author is Tim Cahill? He has written some really good books.
Cain is cracking me up with the pj's.
Hi Jen!
The book is by Jon Krakauer and I wonder if it's the same story as you read?
Oh, and the song isn't Buble. :)
Tim Cahill wrote How the Irish Saved Civilization and other history stuff.
I read it when I lived in Montana. Loved it, but sad.
And how dare you order from Amazon... Hello.. sitting right here!
And who the hell is Michael Bauble?
Nuts. Krakauer. I knew that. Yes it is the same. And yes, he wrote several other really good books.
"Into Thin Air" and "Under the Banner of Heaven" were two of the other books of Krakauer's that I read. I recommend them both.
I don't know the song... but it has pretty words. :)
Have a great day my friend!
Love to you!
Chas
Not sure on the song either, haven't read the book, and I love Cain's pjs. Love ya. It was good to talk to you last night.
The Dillard's play that song on an Andy Griffith episode. Don't know the name, but love that song.
