Not As Easy As It Seems

Bright, isn't it? And it was JUST that bright when I took it. I love tulips. :)

I spent the day with Kandi helping her do a couple of things, and when I say a couple I mean that literally. I suggested she change the locks at her late father's house because I think everyone and his brother has a key. "I'll do it," I said. "I'll be more than happy to do it; how hard can it be?" Hahahahahaaha! Ever tried replacing a lock? That crap ain't fun., and it SURE ain't easy. At all. I managed to get one on but the other one wouldn't fit. It took forEVER to do, too. I don't see myself ever doing that again. Besides, that's why God made men. ;)

We left there and went to Lowes to choose some paint for her studio. It only took her 3.5 hours to decide on the color. (Hee hee!) She chose a gorgeous lime green color to paint one wall with and I can't wait to see how it looks. I'll be taking my camera for before and after shots.

We headed to Logan's and met our pal Hollie there and had supper. We were there forever, too. Everything that we did today just seemed to take a really long time, BUT I had a great day. It came a heck of a storm on us when we were on the way home. The sky was beautiful. We had to run like crazy to get in my house and we were drenched just from the few steps we had to take to get from her car to the house.

I didn't get to see Cain much at all today. I brought him supper and he watched a little bit of a movie and then headed to bed. :( We had a good night last night though and goofed off most of the evening. I know that I need to be taking advantage of every second I can with him and that's what I'm doing.

I was sitting here looking at some of my pictures and my phone started vibrating and scared the soup out of me. At the time it was 11:05 p.m. I thought something must be wrong because no-one texts me this late. It was my Daddy. LOL, he is a texting madman. (o= If you knew my Dad you'd know how funny that is. Anyway, he texted me to tell me about some photos that he took today. How cute is that?! He texts me quite often and I LOVE it. I love being able to stay in touch with him like this. What makes me sad about it is that he's much more quick than I am on it. It takes me forever to text something and that's using the T9. :) Just thought I'd share that with y'all.

Here's some encouraging advice I got in an email today:

If you worry, you didn't pray. If you prayed, don't worry. As a child of God, prayer is kinda like calling home every day.
When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still so He can untangle the knot.
Count your blessings.
Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.
The most important things in your home are the people.
A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
We do not remember days, but moments. Life moves too fast, so enjoy your precious moments.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are. (On this one I'm thinking if you ARE concerned with your character and are who you should be then your reputation should reflect that, don't you think?)

Night!

Those are sweet words Rachel... and pretty true. :)
How much effort and strain we put on ourselves when we worry, instead of giving it totally to God. One of those things that are easier said than done. ;)
And I just had to giggle about your Dad texting... hee hee hee...
That is funny and at 11:05 pm! :o
I have become an old woman quickly, if someone texted me at that time I would probably fall out of bed! HA!
Have a great day!
Love,
Chas

"That's why god made men"

That cracked me up. You don't know this because you have M as a husband, but I'm telling you... men that know how to do anything are a dying breed. Very few men from my generation know their butt from a hole in the ground when it comes to fixing anything. But when one does... it's so sexy.

I love you and miss you oodles.
