Early Birds

Brooke came into our bedroom at 6:30 on the dot this morning and in a melodic voice said, "The rooooofers are here!" "Yay," I thought. No more than that thought crossed my mind did I hear a bunch of clomping around on the roof. Roofers. On the roof. At 6:30. Yay.

Actually I was thrilled. You can't even imagine how much we have needed a new roof. We finally saved up enough money and we called the man who gave us the lowest estimate yesterday and asked him to come on out. We thought it would take a couple of weeks before he could come out and start, but instead they started today, worked 6 hours and got all the front part of the roof finished. They will be finished with the rest tomorrow. Yay! No more water pouring on the deck. :)

We just got back from having dinner with my friend Dawnia, and Keith, an old friend of mine from college. It was great spending time with them. I had a headache throughout the whole meal and I tried to think it away, but it was pounding. Anyway, we sure enjoyed our evening.

Brooke left for the weekend to spend time with her boyfriend. She left this afternoon and there's already a huge void. I've talked about how much I hate when they aren't home, haven't I?

I'm going to bed. It's almost midnight and I'm actually pretty sleepy. Yay!

Night.
