First Day

This is my first full day without either of my children and I kind of feel like this dog looks...minus the drool. :)

Marshall and I have had a full day. We took back our rental car. We put 1,313 miles on it in six days, so I'm glad we didn't take my car. :) After we dropped it off, Marshall returned some rental tools and then we went and had breakfast.

I relaxed on the back porch while he loaded his truck for a job that he's doing tomorrow and Friday. It feels SO wonderful outside and I just love being out here, especially since I'm screened in and the bugs can't get to me. :) I hope this cooler weather lasts right on into fall.

I talked to my Mom today. I called her and we spoke for a while. It was the first time I had talked to her in a while. The conversation was a bit strained at first, but I guess everything is ok. Who knows...

I had a Blue Coconut Slush from Sonic today and man-oh-man was it delicious. I love those drinks. I'm not a big slushie/frozen drink kind of gal, but I love those blue coconut drinks. Ever tried one? Yum!

Marshall is snoozing away at my side. Last night...well actually around 3:30 this morning he woke me up and kept saying, "Are you ok? Are you sure? Do you need anything? Tell me what you need and I'll get it for you. Are you sure you're ok?" He was rubbing my head and I kept assuring him that I was just fine. He woke me up twice more asking me if I was ok and if I wanted anything.

I told him about it today and he laughed it off and then later told me he was just worried about how I was feeling over the kids. I thought it was very sweet. Of course, it would've been sweeter had he asked me all of those questions when he was AWAKE. :)
