Burt's Farm

I met Kandi at her house this morning and we headed off to Dawsonville, Georgia, to Burt's Farm. First we stopped and had breakfast and then we went on our way.

When we got to the farm, there were several busloads of kids just getting there. We left and went to Amicalola Falls State Park, since it's only about a half mile away. We stayed there for quite a while, and went to their lodge, which is absolutely beautiful and not very expensive. I'd love to go there soon and stay a few nights.

We drove back to Burt's Farm and yay, the kids were all gone! Of course, there were still kids there, but just not every single place you looked. Sadly, the beautiful light went away with the kids; it was too bright to get any good shots by the time we got back.

After we took several photos there we went to B.J. Reece Apple House and got some fresh apples right off the trees. I got Mutsu apples and mmm mmm are they good!

We had a fantastic day. It was the perfect fall day, not only was the weather great, but we enjoyed listening to bluegrass all day, too. :) It really set the tone. We had a blast. The only thing that could've made it better is if the leaves were changing a little better than what they are.

Hope your day was beautiful, too.
