Butterflies and Hummingbirds

This morning Brooke and I barely made it to Pump class. The class was packed this morning. I'm going to have to start getting there much earlier to get all the equipment that I need.

I showered when we got home and then went out and relaxed on my back porch. I caught up on some reading and then grabbed my "old" digital Canon Rebel 300 that I haven't used in forever. I was going to take a picture of a butterfly that landed on one of the butterfly bushes but he flew off. I was getting ready to go in when this female Ruby-throated hummingbird landed right in front of me. I was pleased with how well the ol' Rebel still worked. :)

Brooke and I rode over to the local fruit market/flower nursery and I bought a salvia (I think that's how you spell it) bush, a yellow butterfly bush and a couple of lantana flowers. All that cost me $15. :) Marshall helped me plant them when we got home.

I'm so sleepy right now that I can hardly keep my eyes open. We have a busy day planned for tomorrow so I guess I'm going to hit the hay now.

Good night. :)

I take my 'old' cameras with me when I am going into places that may or may not be especially 'nice' to them.

They still take wonderful photos.

Great shot of the hum-bird!
