Gone

Since I knew that today was going to be a really, really hard one I thought it would be good to get out and go butterfly hunting, which is one of my favorite things to do in the whole world.

We took off to my favorite spot only to find ourselves here. The road was (obviously) completely gone where the flood came through. Gone! I couldn't believe it. We heard that a game warden told one of our buddies that he didn't know when it would be fixed because supposedly they don't have the money to fix it. :( We tried to go around a different way but it was closed due to a landslide. And just imagine, this is pretty much the scene in several places in Georgia right now.

We didn't stay out long. Brooke got home and we all got ready and went to the visitation for my friend's husband, daughter, and brother. It was absolutely heartbreaking. I just don't know how any of the family members are holding up like they are. Keep praying for this family, please.

Brooke bought a 2008 Dodge Caliber. I just love it. :) She's so very excited. It's her first purchase. :) She paid the down payment and she will make the payments. She's a big girl now! :)

I didn't even realize that was Rocky Lane until today! I took a pic from the same spot. No water there today though.
