Gulf Fritillaries on thistle. Aren't they beautiful?

Honey and I went exploring today and we had a great time - sans a horse that looked like it was starving which ruined the majority of my day.  I made five phone calls before I finally got in touch with the correct animal control person and he said he couldn't get out there to check on the horse until Monday, which just infuriates me. Anyway, I'll let y'all know.

I'll be glad when the cool weather comes back. I've had to run my AC for the past couple of days and I hate that. I'm ready for that 70-degree high again.
