Please Lift Her Up

The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God. ~ Eileen Elias Freeman

Marshall and I are in Mountain City, Tennessee and just got to our hotel room a little bit ago. We had a wonderful drive and even got to see quite a bit of snow falling. It was beautiful. I love Mtn. City and wish we had more time to spend here but we'll be heading home tomorrow after a quick trip back into Virginia.

I just checked my email and had an email from my dear, sweet friend Shirley, who let me know that her daughter (who was my age) was killed in an automobile accident this morning. Please lift Shirley and her husband Don and their families up in prayer. She is one of the best people I have EVER known and my I'm just absolutely sick over this. :( Bless her heart. Go to Shirley's flickr site and read her inspiring and heartbreaking words. CLICK HERE.

One thing: Neither Marshall nor myself have phone service at all so if you leave me a message I won't get it until I get phone service tomorrow when we get out from these mountains and hills. Cain has the # of the hotel we're at so if it's an emergency then call him and get the #.

Definitely praying for Shirl and Don, Rachel. Hard to believe what they are going through now. As Mother's ourselves we can only imagine what the pain must be like. Worse yet after the shock wears off. You are n ice person Rachel.

That's got to be the darkest abyss that someone ever has to look into, and yet she wrote that beautiful post in the midst of her intense grief. She is a strong woman who you are lucky to be friends with.
