My Young'uns Are Home!

Brooklyn and Cain are both home for Thanksgiving and I could not possibly be any happier. Well, if I won the lottery, that would be fun, but still...

Today was such a busy day. Brooke got here pretty early this morning and we headed up to the hospital to visit with Dawnia. She got to bring Rowan home today. Since Dawnia's mother brought her home, I drove D's truck back to her house for her. Rowan is SO, SO cute and I can't wait to hold her. I didn't get to today because we were so rushed AND because Brooke is a baby-hog. It's just rude, really...

After we dropped D's truck off, we headed to the store to get Thanksgiving groceries. Brooke talked me into getting a turkey that is NOT a Butterball. I'm not very comfortable with this. I called two aunts, my mom, and asked four random people in the store what they thought of Butterball vs. Jennie-O, which is the brand we went with. None of them were any help whatsoever. :) One aunt (Ginger) said she wasn't sure if the brand I bought would be any good, so she solved the problem by buying BOTH brands. The other aunt (Karen) said she didn't buy the turkey so SHE was no help either. ;) If Thanksgiving is ruined, it's ALL Brooke's fault.

Cain got home this afternoon. The house has been full of boys all night. Cain's roommate is here with him for Thanksgiving, and another buddy is here with Cain until tomorrow. I love having a full house. :)

I'm sure there was more I was going to say, but I'm sleepy. Night!

How fun for you to have your babies home! My family will be heading to Trenton tomorrow afternoon, Lord willing. My grandmother has been in the hospital for almost two weeks and it will be nice to be able to see her.

Thoughts on the turkey...in my opinion(oft worth nothing)turkey is turkey! We southerner's do get picky on our traditions, especially when it comes to food. My nanny won't drink any tea but Tetley and my mom doesn't like any kind of ham, but Smithfield's. And don't dare make it a spiral-sliced ham cause to her it is not the same ham (she likes it cut into chunks). Just marinade that bird in a mixture of salt water, orange juice, galic, and white wine for 12 hours before cooking and it will be divine, no matter what name brand it is! (That brine recipe is found on Food Network-Emeril's version). Be blessed and enjoy your family!
