Baby, It's Cold Outside!

It's getting cold out there, boys and girls. Brrr!

Today I went to Chattanooga with my husband while he picked up parts for various jobs he has going on. We went to McKay Bookstore where I found several good books (Christmas books and devotionals).

We had lunch and then picked up some hay for my chickens. Apparently chickens love to scratch around in it. Who knew! They were all anxious to check it out when I got it strewn (strewn?) around the coop. I L-O-V-E my chickens but you know this, right?

Tonight I learned that one of my oldest friends has decided to stop taking chemo treatments. Her oncologist told her that there is nothing more that he can do. She is 45, by the way. She has tried all sorts of treatments and her tumors are still growing and the cancer is still spreading.  My heart absolutely just aches for her. It just aches. I cried when I read her post on Facebook. She said she doesn't want people to think that she's giving up, she has just decided to choose quality over quantity in terms of her life. Y'all please, please remember her in your prayers.

Stay warm, folks. It's colder than a frog's butt out there!

Night!

I think your friend made a very personal decision, and I hope the best for her.

We have been at 15 degrees every morning for a few days!
